Read graduation requirements here. Note: Graduation applications are to be filed online by the District submission deadline.
After the graduation application deadline, the degree audit team works diligently to send status notifications via email to all applicants for the current semester. If you are considered a non-graduate you will be provided further information. Any non-graduate may reapply for graduation for the following semester.
Commencement is a ceremony held in May each spring semester. This ceremony celebrates the student’s achievement of the degree, and graduates are recognized by the college, family members, and friends.
Graduation is the process of being awarded the degree. Once you apply for graduation, the college reviews your coursework to see whether or not you have met all of the requirements, and will decide if we can award your degree.
There is only one commencement ceremony held each year in May. Therefore, if you are within 9 credit hours of completing your degree, you may walk in the commencement ceremony.
There is no cost for your guests to attend the ceremony. However, there is a $32 fee for your regalia package which consists of a cap, gown, and tassel.
Please feel free to contact the disability services office at 972-860-8348.
All items are ordered and retrieved in the campus bookstore. Invitations are ordered online via herffjones; search for “Eastfield College” and place your order.

No. What you receive is a diploma cover to frame your future diploma. Our degree audit team will notify you when you are officially certified as a graduate, and send you the degree, or allow you to come and pick it up in the Office of Admissions and Records in C-119.
Our degree audit team begins processing graduation within the 6 to 8 weeks after each semester. While our goal is to process as quickly as possible, our time frame may vary due to holidays, campus closing, or the short summer semesters. Rest assured you will be notified via email once you have been certified.
