So Fresh Annual Juried Art Competition

Gallery 219 at Eastfield College presents the 2010 So Fresh Annual Juried Art Competition.  The competition, held in the spring of each year was created to recognize and award student achievements in the arts. Juried by artists, curators and other prestigious guests the competition is open to all Eastfield College students currently enrolled in a studio art course.  Previous exhibitions have included work in ceramics, design, drawing, painting, photography and sculpture.

This year's competition will be juried by nationally recognized artist Brian Fridge and will be part of the culminating events during the Eastifeld College Literary and Fine Arts Festival.

Brian Fridge received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of North Texas. He is a nationally recognized artist whose work was included in the 2000 Whitney Biennial exhibition in New York. His work is included in the collections of the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the Seattle Art Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. Currently living and working in Dallas, Fridge is represented by Dunn and Brown Contemporary.

Gallery 219 is located on the upper floor of the Fine Arts building (Bldg “F”) in room F219C.  The lecture will take place in F201, directly across the hall from the gallery.  Park and enter at the Performance Hall entrance on the west side of the campus.
