A certificate program is a grouping of related courses designed to educate students and provide them the needed skills to be workforce ready.
This depends on each specific program, you must successfully complete each course in the program, and demonstrate proficiency in required areas.
Yes. The prerequisites will vary from program to program. Prerequisites are listed under each certificate and course description.
Students must complete course work in two years. Exceptions may be considered on an individual basis.
Many of our certificate programs can be completed in a year or less.
Successful students will receive a certificate at the end of each course. After all required courses for the certificate program have been completed, present copies of the certificates and local transcripts to the Continuing Education office. The office will then issue a program certificate. Please note: Some certificate programs require a competency exam before a certificate is issued.
